John Coleman
An American sculptor focusing on the American West, John Coleman was born in 1949 in Southern California. He studied at the Art Center for Design in Los Angeles, and he has been sculpting full-time since 1994. In 1999, was voted into The National Sculpture Society of New York and in 2001 into the Cowboy Artist of America and the National Sculpture Society. Coleman’s work is influenced by music, history and mythology. Coleman usually has six to seven works in progress, and he will introduce four to five new editions each year. His works are held in the collections of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, Pheonix Art Museum, Tucson Museum of Art, and Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.
